This study decomposes multiplicatively overall technical efficiency into its various sources, namely exogenous risk efficiency, endogenous risk efficiency, scale efficiency and pure technical efficiency. 79 commercial banks operating on Indian soil are the decision-making units. It proposes new Data Envelopment Analysis models to assess risk efficiency of commercial banks operating on Indian soil.
