Migration and Development

This book addresses six issues: 1) What is the significance of migration and remittance to economic development; 2) What is the policy issue for temporary labor migration under the GATS Mode 4 commitment; 3) Why is remittance a stable income source for developing countries, including Nepal; 4) What is the impact of migrants’ remittance on poverty and inequality in Nepal; 5) What is the probability of return migrants becoming entrepreneurs in Nepal; and 6) How are return entrepreneurs contributing to create jobs and reduce poverty in the long-run?
