Optical and Thermal studies on Thermotropic, Lyotropic Liquid Crystals

This book incorporates the results of detailed experimental studies on the binary mixture of mesogenic and mixtures of non-mesogenic compounds are investigated. The main emphasis is on the optical, thermal and electrical field studies to investigate some interesting features like twisted grain boundary phase and induced smectic phases. Investigations on different properties of liquid crystals are extensively carried out in the view of their wide applications in display technology and electro-optic devices.
