The book deliberates in detail on archaeological sites and their nature of habitation in Jammu region from Palaeolithic period to early medieval period. The increased pace of archaeological research in recent decades has provided a connected account of the history of prehistoric and early historic Jammu region primarily on the basis of archaeology. This book charts the flow of Jammu region’s grassroots archaeological history in all its continuities and diversities from its Palaeolithic beginnings to early medieval period assumed its basic form.
